Districts 1 and 4 candidate filing period extended to Aug. 12

The nomination period for City Council Districts 1 and 4 will be extended through 5 p.m., Aug. 12, because an eligible incumbent did not file Nomination Documents.

The Nov. 3 election will have the following seats on the ballot:

District 1 (full term - four years)

District 2 (full term - four years)

District 4 (full term - four years)

Registered voters will vote only for the City Council seat in their district. To review which district you live in, please visit menlopark.gov/elections.

Individuals who wish to run for one of the three seats on the November ballot must:

  • Be registered to vote in and live in the district in which they are running
  • Set up an appointment with the city clerk by email at [email protected] or phone (650)-330-6621 to begin the candidate filing process
  • Complete all necessary paperwork with the city clerk's office by 5 p.m. Aug. 12
