"Her Story Through Art" Exhibition & Opening Artists Reception
Saturday, Oct. 10, 5-7 P.M. Reception At Las Vegas Civic Center Gallery
The public is invited to an artists reception Saturday, Oct. 10, 5-7 p.m. for "Her Story Through Art: Las Vegas Women Artists," a new community-centered exhibition celebrating the creativity and impact of women-identifying artists contributing to the cultural fabric of Las Vegas. "Her Story Through Art: Las Vegas Women Artists" is the latest exhibition at the Las Vegas Civic Center Gallery, located at 525 S. Main St. on the ground floor. The reception is free and open to the public. Convenient parking is located across the street at 500 S. Main St. parking garage; a complimentary two-hour parking validation will be offered to attendees.
Curated by Las Vegas Arts Commissioner Joan De Santis and founder of Raw Femme Media Amanda "Rawky" Lozano, the exhibition features diverse artists whose work carries memory, identity and imagination forward. Exhibition artists include Rita Deanin Abbey, Clarice Tara Cuda, Joy Goldstein, Nancy Good, Sze Jones, Wendy Kveck, Alina Lindquist, Marianna Romero, Julie Notaro, Cristina Natsuko Paulos, Taylor Pierce, Janel Raihl, Robin Slonina, Mad Watson, Shereene Wolford, Xochil Xitlalli and Starrr Zahra.
Enjoy music by DJ Lo Dino, light refreshments, opportunities to meet the artists and a special interactive activation by Janel Raihl and Robin Slonina inviting guests to share uplifting messages as part of a collective exchange of kindness and creativity.
The exhibit will continue through Dec. 30, 2026, with gallery hours 10 a.m.-3 p.m. Wednesday-Saturday, excluding holidays. There is no cost to view the exhibit, and a two-hour parking validation for the 500 S. Main St. parking garage is offered to attendees Wednesday-Saturday.
