Long Beach, CA - The City of Long Beach will host its 2026 Veterans Day Celebration from noon to 4 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 7, at Houghton Park (6301 Myrtle Ave.), bringing the community together to honor military veterans and recognize those currently serving in the U.S. Armed Forces.

"On Veterans Day, we uplift, honor and recognize our veterans for their bravery and sacrifice," said Mayor Rex Richardson. "Our veterans have given so much in service to our nation, and we owe them our deepest gratitude. This celebration is an opportunity for our community to come together, honor their courage and sacrifice, and show our veterans that their service will never be forgotten."

The free, family-friendly event will feature live entertainment, food trucks, a kid's zone and a boot camp-style obstacle course, as well as a beer garden for adults.

Live Entertainment for All Ages

The celebration will feature an afternoon of music and entertainment spanning eras, along with activities for the whole family. The entertainment lineup includes:

  • All Day - DJ sets and emcee by Mr. Quick to keep the energy going throughout the celebration.
  • The Satin Dollz, 1:15 p.m. - Bringing the music and choreography of the 1940s Big Band Swing Era to the stage.
  • Knyght Ryder, 2:30 p.m. - Performing hits from the '80s and '90s as Long Beach's favorite tribute band.

Attendees are encouraged to bring lawn chairs and their dancing shoes to enjoy an afternoon of live music and a concert-in-the-park atmosphere.

Beyond the entertainment, the event will connect veterans and community members with resources and support through a fair featuring more than 20 participating organizations.

"Our veterans have served our country in profound ways, and their contributions to our communities continue long after their military service," said Ninth District Councilmember Dr. Joni Ricks-Oddie. "We have a responsibility to consistently recognize their service, connect them with resources, and ensure they know they will always remain a valued part of our community."

The 2026 Veterans Day Celebration is presented by the City of Long Beach in partnership with the Office of Veterans Support and the Long Beach Veterans Commission. The event is funded through the City's General Fund.
