Dentons recruits Capital Markets partner Megan Schellinger in London

October 5, 2026

London-Dentons has recruited Megan Schellinger as a capital markets partner in London as the firm continues its 'Golden Thread' strategy, which prioritises building deeper client relationships to win a higher share of complex multi-jurisdictional mandates.

Megan's hire forms part of Dentons' broader investment in US securities and international capital markets capability across continental Europe, Central and Eastern Europe, the Middle East and Africa. Her arrival follows the recent hires of high-yield finance partner Colin Chang and securitisation and structured finance partner Alex Moezi in London, and capital markets partner Peter Cullen in Dubai. Together, these appointments further strengthen Dentons' ability to support clients on increasingly complex cross-border transactions.

Megan joins from Baker McKenzie and was formerly at Linklaters. She brings broad capital markets expertise, advising corporate issuers and investment banks on Rule 144A and SEC-registered offerings, private placements, and international debt, equity and equity-linked securities. Her equity capital markets experience includes IPOs, rights issues and block trades.

Megan's experience advising on transactions across Türkiye, the Caucasus, Georgia, Poland and wider Central and Eastern Europe further strengthens the firm's market-leading capital markets platform in regions where demand for sophisticated US securities and cross-border financing advice continues to grow.

Dentons was recently awarded three 'Deals of the Year' by CEE Legal Matters, for advising on high-profile financings in Georgia, Albania and the Czech Republic.

Paul Jarvis, CEO of Dentons' UK, Ireland and Middle East (UKIME) region, said: "Our continued investment in capital markets reflects the growing client demand for sophisticated US securities and international financing advice across Europe and the Middle East. Megan's arrival undoubtedly strengthens our ability to support clients on complex international transactions."

Nick Hayday, Head of UK Banking and Financial Services and Global Co-Chair for the Banking & Finance Group, said: "US securities expertise is a must for international capital markets practices, and complex financings across the capital markets, especially in the CEE, Middle East and Africa. Bringing together our pan-European and Middle East capital markets teams is one of Dentons' real success stories and I'm excited at what Megan brings to our practice."

Megan Schellinger said, "Dentons has built a really impressive capital markets platform across Europe and the Middle East supported by continued investment in US securities and international financing capability. Clients increasingly require advice that combines deep technical expertise with the seamless application of local knowledge on a platform that can cover multiple jurisdictions and Dentons is exceptionally well placed to deliver both. I'm looking forward to joining the team and helping clients to navigate the challenges and opportunities they face."
