Mound City Farmer Named Missouri Corn Chairman

Posted on: Oct 01, 2026

Dylan Rosier of Mound City, Mo., stepped into the role of Missouri Corn Merchandising Council (MCMC) chairman effective Oct. 1. Elected during the organization's August board meeting, Rosier succeeded Patrick Seyer of Oran, Mo.

Rosier previously served the state's growers as MCMC vice chairman, secretary, and treasurer, as well as Missouri Corn Growers Association (MCGA) secretary/treasurer. He also serves fellow growers nationally, currently volunteering on the U.S. Grains & BioProducts Council (USGBC) board of directors, and previously leading the USGBC Western Hemisphere Advisory Team.

"We continue to get better and better at growing corn, and we have to have a space for that," notes Rosier. "MCMC is constantly working to maximize our markets. As a grower it exciting to help build those opportunities for increased demand. The biggest current growth potential is outside our borders. By partnering with the Grains Council, we're gaining market share across the globe and have record exports this year, as we continue looking for new demand for corn, ethanol, and even maritime fuel."

The MCMC board of directors is comprised of 14 farmers elected from across the state. This volunteer board was formed in 1984 with the passage of a corn checkoff and is committed to market development, research, and education.
