UNF’s OspreyPro receives NACE program endorsement

The University of North Florida's OspreyPro career and professional development program has been endorsed by the National Association of Colleges and Employers (NACE).

This distinction recognizes the strength of the program's alignment with the NACE Career Readiness Framework and an intentional, evidence-based approach to preparing students for career success. It endorses OspreyPro as a leading example of how to embed career readiness into academic experience.

"OspreyPro reflects UNF's commitment to embedding career readiness into every student's academic journey," said Karen B. Patterson, Ph.D., UNF executive vice president and provost. "This endorsement from NACE affirms the strength of our evidence-based approach and the collaborative work of our faculty, Career Services and employer partners to help students translate learning into meaningful career success."

OspreyPro is UNF's progressive four-level career and professional development program. It represents the ideal blend of Career Services, faculty and employers collaborating to positively impact students' career readiness. As students complete each level, they receive a digital badge validating they gained the knowledge, skills and experience needed for success. Each level focuses on career education, professional skills, professional prep and career readiness.

The OspreyPro program is recognized for advancing meaningful career preparation, commitment to thoughtful design, stakeholder engagement and continuous improvement. The program was also recognized for expanding to serve more upper-level students.

OspreyPro is part of UNF Career Services' comprehensive strategy to connect students with regional employers and prepare graduates for the workforce. In addition to teaching career-ready skills, UNF guarantees since fall 2025 that all incoming students will graduate with at least one internship or similar hands-on experience.
