London-Dentons has advised Repario, a portfolio company of JLL Partners, as international counsel on its acquisition of UnitedLex, a legal services provider to corporate legal departments and law firms across intellectual property, litigation, legal operations and other complex matters.
The acquisition creates a technology-led legal services company built to apply AI across complex legal workflows at enterprise scale. It combines Repario's eDiscovery, Infrastructure as a Service and managed review services with UnitedLex's litigation, contracts, legal operations, intellectual property, AI advisory and incident response capabilities, delivering integrated, end-to-end legal solutions from a single partner.
Joseph Altendorff, partner in Dentons' UK Corporate team, said: "This is an important transaction for Repario as it continues to scale its LegalTech offering and international reach. We were pleased to support the team on the acquisition, which reflects the cross-border technology M&A work central to our strategy and the strength of our multi-jurisdictional, cross-practice approach. We wish them every success as they take the combined business forward."
The Dentons cross-border team advising on the transaction across seven jurisdictions was led from the UK by Corporate partner Joseph Altendorff, with Jason Stone, supported by Corporate associate Ahmad Yasin and Corporate trainee Tiara Mistry; Competition partner Richard Brown; Employment partner Purvis Ghani; Real Estate partner John Arey; Pensions partner Eleanor Hart; Regulatory partner Dan Lund; Data Protection partner Carlo Salizzo; and Technology and IP partners Sarah Lima and Jennifer Cass.
Dentons worked alongside lead transaction counsel Koley Jessen.
