PFLUGERVILLE, TX - The U.S. Chamber of Commerce announced its endorsement of Rep. August Pfluger for Texas' 11th Congressional District at a free enterprise event at Mpact Roofing in Pflugerville, Texas, today. The event was a stop on the Chamber's Free Enterprise Express Opportunity Tour, a national six-week bus tour promoting free enterprise.
At the event, Rep. Pfluger was joined by Neil Bradley, Executive Vice President and Chief Policy Officer at the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, and Kevin Pakenham a sales representative at Mpact Roofing.
Rep. Pfluger was also honored with the Chamber's Advocate for American Business Award for his leadership in advancing free-market policies that promote affordability and expand opportunity for American families and businesses. He is also the Chairman of the Republican Study Committee and Co-Chair of the Congressional Free Enterprise Caucus.
"August Pfluger earned the U.S. Chamber's endorsement through his steadfast dedication to pro-growth policies and defense of the free enterprise system," said Neil Bradley, Executive Vice President and Chief Policy Officer at the U.S. Chamber of Commerce. "Throughout his career in Congress, Pfluger has demonstrated a commitment to the policies that help businesses grow, create jobs, and expand opportunity. We are proud to support his campaign and look forward to working together to advance a stronger, more competitive economy."
The U.S. Chamber endorses candidates for federal office who will support policies that drive innovation, grow the economy, and create opportunities for American businesses and workers.
The national Free Enterprise Express Opportunity Tour is a six-week trip through 20 states and more than 50 events to make the case for free enterprise in communities across America and push back against growing support for government-directed economic policies that threaten economic freedom, opportunity, innovation, and growth.
The effort is part of a broader Chamber initiative, the New Fight for Free Enterprise, a multi-year effort to organize, mobilize, and make the case for free enterprise everywhere public opinion is shaped, public policy is made, and future generations learn what it takes for people and communities to thrive.
