Portland, OR - In a recent television interview with KOIN, MAGA Republican Christine Drazan shared that Donald Trump's plan to send employees from the Civil Rights Division of the Department of Justice to monitor Multnomah County's elections did not "raise red flags" for her, despite the fact that the head of the Civil Rights Division is a documented election denier.

This is not the first time Drazan has supported efforts to undermine Oregonians' access to the ballot. As a legislator, she was the Chief Sponsor of House Bill 3872, a bill that would have completely overturned Oregon's vote-by-mail system, eliminated paid postage on mail-in ballots, and made in-person voting the default method.

"It's disappointing - but not at all surprising - that Christine Drazan is once again standing aside and allowing the Trump administration to attack Oregonians' civil rights," said Democratic Party of Oregon Chair Nathan Soltz. "Drazan has spent her career attacking Oregon's vote by mail system. Oregonians deserve a leader who is going to stand up for their right to vote, and that just isn't Christine Drazan."
