Chris Cagle ‘Plays It Loud’ for Cherokee Casino & Hotel Roland Aug. 14

ROLAND, Okla. - Cherokee Casino & Hotel Roland will welcome chart-topping country music artist Chris Cagle at 8 p.m. Friday, Aug. 14, at Lee Creek Tavern inside the casino.

After moving from Houston to Nashville in 1994 to pursue a career in country music, Cagle worked a variety of jobs while honing his craft, including as a waiter, prep chef and golf caddy. His determination paid off with a publishing deal that led to his first recorded song before he signed with Virgin Records in 2000.

Cagle quickly emerged as one of country music's rising stars with his debut gold-certified album, "Play It Loud." The project produced the Top 10 hit "My Love Goes On & On," the Top 5 single "Laredo" and his first No. 1 song, "I Breathe In, I Breathe Out."

He followed that success with his self-titled sophomore album, which debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard Country Albums chart and also earned gold certification. The album features the fan-favorite hits "What a Beautiful Day" and "Chicks Dig It," both of which reached the Top 5 on the country charts.

Throughout his career, Cagle has built an impressive catalog of country hits, including "Miss Me Baby," "What Kinda Gone," "Got My Country On," "Let There Be Cowgirls" and "Country by the Grace of God."

Recognized early in his career as one of country music's brightest newcomers, Cagle earned an Academy of Country Music nomination for New Male Vocalist and was named CMT's Breakthrough Artist of the Year in 2002. Known for his high-energy performances and powerful stage presence, he continues to captivate audiences with live shows that showcase both his biggest hits and enduring passion for country music.

The show is free to those 21 and older.
