Webinar on Patient Safety Culture

The National Action Alliance for Patient and Workforce Safety (NAA) will host a webinar on Sept. 22, from noon to 1 pm ET, highlighting the findings from a review of high-performing health care systems in patient and workforce safety. Speakers from St. Luke's University Health Network, Houston Methodist, and the Mayo Clinic will share best practices in patient safety governance, leadership, and culture.

Attendees will learn how these systems achieved high safety performance through strong governance structures; leaders who actively cultivate a culture of safety; and purposeful, systemwide actions that sustain the safety culture. The webinar will also provide a first look at the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality's Best Practices to Strengthen Safety Culture, Leadership, and Governance Change Package and explore how organizations of all sizes can apply these strategies to drive systemwide improvements in patient safety.
