CHICAGO - Under the leadership of President Trump and Secretary Noem, FEMA announced today more than $1.2 million in federal grant funding to support the state of Ohio as it leads community recovery from severe storms, flooding and landslides in 2019. This funding helps cover road repair and critical infrastructure restoration following the storm.
This funding is part of a broader effort by the Department of Homeland Security In this past week alone, DHS and FEMA approved more than $2.2 billion in Public Assistance projects to communities across the U.S.
Here are the FEMA grants recently approved across Ohio:
FEMA is reimbursing these costs at no less than a 75% federal share through its Public Assistance Program which provides funds for state and local governments response and recovery work. To date, more than $56 million has been provided to the state for road repair, debris removal, critical infrastructure repair and more from this disaster.
