Cary, NC - With Winter Storm Gianna in the rearview mirror, shadow or no shadow, Cary is shifting gears and scaling back its response, thanks in large part to the swift work of the A+ Team and a forecast calling for above-freezing temperatures by Wednesday. Crews have treated intersections, primary and secondary streets, and gone into neighborhood streets and cul-de-sacs based on curbside collection routes.
Snow Command continues to operate and focuses on icy patches, historically slick spots, and any remaining plowing/treating based on upcoming curbside collection schedules. Effective at 5 p.m. today, Cary's Emergency Operations Center will close.
