Snow Removal and Sanitation Collection Update

Snow Removal

Public Works crews will be utilizing smaller equipment to plow narrow residential streets that can't be accommodated by standard equipment. Residents should expect to see snow piles on those streets as a result of these efforts. Please be assured that crews will return to extract piles the following day.

Sanitation

Due to missed collections caused by recent winter weather, sanitation crews will be collecting throughout the remainder of this week.

To help ensure collection, please make sure all bins are accessible and cleared of snow and ice. Bins that are blocked or inaccessible cannot be collected. Crews will collect any trash or recycling bins that are accessible during pick-ups.

Additionally, many alleys remain covered with ice. Beginning today, Public Works crews will start applying salt in alleys as conditions allow, with the goal of improving access as ice melts. If your alley remains impassable for collection trucks, you may place your trash and recycling at the entrance of the alley for pickup.
