DGA Statement on Minnesota GOP Primary Results
DGA Executive Director Meghan Meehan-Draper released the following statement in response to Lisa Demuth becoming the Republican nominee for governor in Minnesota:
"After breaking her promise to step aside after the Minnesota GOP convention, Lisa Demuth barely emerged from the deeply damaging and nasty primary, and all she has to offer is a commitment to putting Donald Trump first and Minnesotans last. As costs continue to skyrocket and Republicans cut health care for hundreds of thousands of Minnesotans, Demuth can't name a single policy where she disagrees with Trump. From praising Trump's reckless cost-raising tariffs and defending ICE's deadly violence on the streets of Minnesota to doubling down on her support for banning abortion with no exceptions, Demuth won't stand up to the chaos in Washington. Instead, her extreme MAGA agenda would only drive costs even higher and make families less safe across the state. Minnesotans can't trust her, and they'll reject her - again - in November."
