WASHINGTON, DC-October 27, 2025-The Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS) today announced the appointment of Raj Subramaniam, president and chief executive officer of the FedEx Corporation, to its Board of Trustees.

Mr. Subramaniam brings more than three decades of international business experience to the CSIS Board. His leadership in global logistics and trade will be instrumental as CSIS expands its world-class research on global supply chains, economic security, and the forces shaping strategic competition. This work lies at the heart of the Center's mission to develop practical, bipartisan solutions that advance U.S. leadership and global prosperity.

Mr. Subramaniam has served as president of FedEx Corporation since 2019 and succeeded the company's founder in 2022 as the second chief executive officer in FedEx history. Over more than 30 years with FedEx, he has held senior leadership roles in operations and marketing across the enterprise. He is widely credited with spearheading the company's ongoing global transformation-revitalizing its operating strategy, expanding its e-commerce business, and leveraging data to strengthen FedEx's global supply chain performance.

Beyond FedEx, Mr. Subramaniam serves on the boards of the Procter & Gamble Company, Business Roundtable, U.S.-China Business Council, U.S. Chamber of Commerce's China Center Advisory Board, U.S.-India Strategic Partnership Forum, and For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology (FIRST).

Mr. Subramaniam holds a bachelor's degree in chemical engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), a master's degree in chemical engineering from Syracuse University, and a master's degree in business administration from The University of Texas at Austin.
