Klobuchar, Smith Attend Dignified Transfer for Sergeant First Class Nicole M. Amor of White Bear Lake

DOVER - U.S. Senators Amy Klobuchar and Tina Smith attended the dignified transfer of remains at Dover Air Force Base for Sergeant First Class Nicole M. Amor of White Bear Lake, who was among those killed in a drone strike in Kuwait on March 1, 2026. The Senators also met with Amor's family members, including Amor's husband and daughter.

"Sergeant First Class Amor made the ultimate sacrifice serving our nation. We are forever indebted to her," said Klobuchar. "It was an honor to pay tribute to Sergeant First Class Amor's bravery and service - to stand alongside her family in their grief and bear witness to her return to the country she loved and fought for. Sergeant First Class Amor was the best of America and the best of Minnesota. We will always remember her as the patriot and incredible soldier, wife, and mother she was."

"Sergeant Amor made the ultimate sacrifice in service to our nation. She will be remembered as a patriot who devoted her life to her country," said Smith. "I was honored to bear witness to the dignified transfer of her remains alongside five other brave service members at Dover Air Force Base. With this solemn tradition, we express our deepest respect for the service and sacrifice of these fallen Americans and their grieving families. Our family and all Minnesotans support Sergeant Amor's loved ones in their grief. I know Minnesota is wrapping its arms around them during such a heartbreaking time."
