A Pāʻia-Haʻikū community budget meeting that was canceled Tuesday due to a brush fire in Pāʻia is rescheduled for Thursday, Oct. 16, 2025, from 5 to 7 p.m. at Pāʻia Community Center.
The meeting is among eight community budget meetings hosted by Mayor Richard Bissen and his administration throughout Maui County for residents to share their priorities and provide input on the budget for Fiscal Year 2027, which begins July 1, 2026.
This week, community budget meetings are scheduled in West Maui today, Sept. 24, 2025, at Lahaina Civic Center Social Hall, and in South Maui on Thursday, Sept. 25, 2025, at Kīhei Community Center. Both meetings are from 5 to 7 p.m.
Written and verbal comments will be accepted at the meetings.
Budget requests also may be submitted by using a Budget Request Form, which is available on the County of Maui website at https://www.mauicounty.gov/budget.
Residents unable to attend the meetings in person can view the meetings on the County of Maui Facebook page. No account is required.
A budget meeting was held Sept. 16 on Lānaʻi. Upcoming meetings include:
East Maui - Hāna
Tuesday, Sept. 30, 2025, 5 to 7 p.m. at Helene Hall Community Center, Hāna
Central Maui
Tuesday, Oct. 14, 2025, 5 to 7 p.m. at Velma McWayne Santos Community Center, Wailuku
Upcountry
Wednesday, Oct. 15, 2025, 5 to 7 p.m. at Mayor Hannibal Tavares Community Center, Pukalani
Pāʻia-Haʻikū
Thursday, Oct. 16, 2025, 5 to 7 p.m. at Pāʻia Community Center
Molokaʻi
