City Land Sale Approved for Housing Construction in West Town

The planned construction of five new single-family homes in West Town will be facilitated through a City-owned land sale approved by City Council today.
The $5.9 million project by Walsh Apartments LLC will include the .42-acre City property at 2341 W. Erie St., which will be sold for $1.5 million.
The property was listed through the ChiBlockBuilder land sale portal in fall 2025 with a $1.4 million market value.
