Registration Now OPEN for Marietta’s Ugly Holiday Sweater Parade

MARIETTA, GA - Marietta Parks, Recreation & Facilities is excited to announce that registration is now OPEN for the Marietta Ugly Holiday Sweater Parade, returning as part of the City's annual Christmas Tree Lighting celebration on Thursday, December 4, 2025.

Break out your ugliest (family-appropriate!) holiday sweater and join Santa himself in a festive, feel-good parade to kick off the holiday season in downtown Marietta.

About the Parade

The Ugly Sweater Parade is a cheerful highlight of the City's traditional Christmas Tree Lighting, a beloved evening of old-fashioned family fun that includes:

Choir performances

Meet-and-greets with Santa Claus

The annual lighting of the Christmas tree in Glover Park

Parade Route & Details:

Parade steps off at 5:00PM from Marietta City Hall

Travels west on Lawrence Street, loops around the Square, and ends at Glover Park via East Park Square

Total route: ~0.4 miles

Who Can Join?

Any individual, group, organization, business, or club is invited to participate.

To be part of the fun, you must complete and submit the official application before the deadline. All forms must be submitted in full to Marietta Parks, Recreation & Facilities.
