SGMC Health is thrilled to announce the return of its women's health event, the 4th annual "Girls Just Wanna Have Brunch," taking place Saturday, October 4, at The McKey in Downtown Valdosta. This special gathering honors Breast Cancer Awareness Month and celebrates the strength, resilience, and well-being of women in our community.
Proceeds from the event will benefit SGMC Health's women's health outreach programs and screenings, helping to fund early detection, prevention, and education efforts that are essential in the fight against breast cancer.
"We are proud to see this event grow each year and make a real and measurable difference in women's lives," said Hilary Gibbs, Vice President and Chief Development Officer. "Since launching our expanded outreach, SGMC Health has been able to offer free mammograms for women in need throughout our communities. More than 90 women have taken advantage of this service, leading to the early diagnosis of two cases of breast cancer-a powerful reminder that timely screenings save lives."
Guests can look forward to a delightful morning featuring mimosas, a gourmet waffle bar, and a charming photo station to capture moments with friends. Every attendee will also take home a special gift as a token of appreciation.
Sponsorship opportunities are available for individuals and businesses who wish to partner in advancing women's health.
