Jennifer Mallette, associate professor and chair in the Department of Writing Studies, recently collaborated with past Undergraduate and Creative Activities Grant winner Amelia Hill. The duo published their paper in the SIGDOC proceedings, and it received an Honorable Mention for Best Paper at the SIGDOC conference. SIGDOC is a Special Interest Group under the Association for Computing Machinery dedicated to the design of communication.
Amelia Hill was part of the fall 2025 cohort for Undergraduate and Creative Activities scholarships.
Undergraduate Research and Creative Activity Scholarships offered by the Institute for Inclusive and Transformative Scholarship are paid, competitive, 12-week research experiences offered to undergraduate students during the fall and spring semesters for their research or creative activity. Students work with a faculty mentor, with the project culminating in a presentation at an undergraduate research conference or another appropriate venue. The scholarships are jointly funded by the State of Idaho's Higher Education Research Council and Boise State's Division of Research and Economic Development.
