Faculty Senate Meeting September 18

The Faculty Senate will meet on Thursday, Sept. 18, from 4:10 to 5:30 p.m. in the Faculty Commons Building second-floor event space.

All faculty are invited, and voting members are expected to attend in person. There is an anonymous paper ballot vote scheduled about a resolution to change rules of order regarding the Faculty Life and DEI standing committees. Faculty bylaws require a physical quorum for voting.

Additional agenda items include hearing from Chancellor Daniel Diermeier, Provost and Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs C. Cybele Raver and University Librarian Jon Shaw.

To accommodate those who may need nearby parking, limited free parking is available 4-6 p.m. in Lot 130. Parking will be marked "Faculty Senate Meeting" and is off Grand Avenue. If the parking area is full, there are paid spaces in Wesley Garage and nearby annual parking lots (131B, 132, 111, 80, and 5A and 5B) and daily parking at Wesley Garage for those enrolled in the daily parking program.
