RTA debuts bus celebrating Dayton’s funk music legacy

(DAYTON, OHIO) - The Greater Dayton Regional Transit Authority (RTA) recently unleashed its newest creation.

The Funk bus celebrates Dayton's funk music history and recognizes the musicians who helped establish the region as the undisputed "Land of Funk."

"RTA is proud to recognize and promote Dayton's Funk Heritage with the release of this bus" said RTA CEO Robert Ruzinsky. "We look forward to presenting more buses that celebrate our regions interesting history/heritage in the future".

The Funk Bus is the first of several buses planned for RTA's "Driven by Dayton Innovation" campaign. The campaign will highlight the region's history of innovation and cultural influence through specially designed buses.

The bus made its debut at the Flashback Funk Fest at the Rose Music Center at The Heights. The concert featured an all-star lineup of Morris Day & The Time, The Ohio Players, The Original Lakeside and ConFunkShun. Learn more about future concerts at www.rosemusiccenter.com.
