Current State of End Markets Report

This report focuses on end markets that currently receive covered material from California and examines the flow of covered materials sent for recycling and composting in 2024 both within California and exported outside the state, including information on the extent of contamination and recovered material produced by end markets as required by the Plastic Pollution Prevention and Packaging Producer Responsibility Act (Senate Bill 54, Allen, Chapter 75, Statutes of 2022). This report covers the third technical component out of four from the Collection, Processing, and End Markets study for the initial Statewide Needs Assessment.
