Town of Camillus - West Genesee Central School District - 2025 Capital Improvement Project

Negative Declaration

Onondaga County - The West Genesee Central School District, as lead agency, has determined that the proposed West Genesee Central School District - 2025 Capital Improvement Project will not have a significant adverse environmental impact.

The action involves improvements to the transportation Facility:

  • Demolition and removal of the existing transportation center building adjacent to West Genesee High School;
  • construction of a new transportation center building approximately 35,400 square feet on newly acquired property located at 100 Golfview Lane, Camillus, NY, along with: a new maintenance building, approximately 6000 square feet, associated parking lots, site utilities, and site improvements for both buildings;
  • and site work to include a new campus road that will connect the High School property to the new property and Kasson Road.

West Genesee High School:

  • Interior renovations and finish upgrades and exterior renovations, and site improvement including parking lot and drop off loop reconstruction;
  • construction of a new field building approximately 3,000 square feet; renovation or removal of existing concession building at the track field.

West Genesee Intermediate School:

  • Interior and exterior renovations, site improvements including a new playground.

Stonehedge Elementary School:

  • Interior renovations including a new IT suite that is being relocated from the old transportation building and site improvements.

The project is located in multiple locations within the West Genesee Central School District, in the Town of Camillus, New York.
