TRAFFIC ALERT - Kent County - Road Closure: E. Sewell Street at the RR Crossing between Walnut St and E. Railroad St
Notice of Road Closure: E. Sewell Street at the Railroad Crossing between Walnut Street and E. Railroad Street
Felton - Delmarva Central Railroad forces will be resurfacing and performing general maintenance of their crossing of E. Sewell Street beginning at 5:00 am on Saturday, December 13, 2025. The work will require the full closure of E. Sewell Street. Message signs will be posted in advance, advising motorists of the closure.
A detour will be posted as follows:
Eastbound: E. Sewell Street to Walnut Street to W. High Street to E. Railroad Ave back to E. Sewell Street.
Westbound: E. Sewell Street to E. Railroad Ave to W. High Street to Walnut Street back to E. Sewell Street.
The closure will be in place 24 hours per day. The work is expected to be completed, and the detour lifted no later than 10:00 pm on Monday, December 15, 2025.
