Public health leader brings expertise in healthcare quality, digital health and health equity to Remission Medical's Advisory Consultant Program
RICHMOND, Va., September 9, 2026 - Remission Medical today announced that Farhia Mussa has joined its Advisory Consultant Program as an Advisory Member, bringing more than 20 years of experience in public health, healthcare quality improvement, digital health, and advancing equitable access to care.
Mussa joins a growing group of experienced healthcare leaders and subject-matter experts providing strategic perspective and counsel as Remission Medical expands its partnerships with health systems and specialty practices nationwide.
"Improving access to specialty care requires more than innovative technology-it requires an understanding of the real-world barriers that prevent patients from receiving timely, high-quality care," said Blake Wehman, Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Remission Medical. "Farhia has spent her career helping healthcare organizations improve quality while addressing the social and systemic factors that shape patient outcomes. That perspective will be invaluable as we continue expanding partnerships with health systems."
Access to rheumatology care remains one of the most persistent challenges in modern healthcare. Patients often wait months for evaluation, delaying diagnosis and treatment for autoimmune and inflammatory conditions. Remission Medical works with health systems and specialty practices to expand rheumatology capacity while preserving continuity of care and operating within existing health system infrastructure, including EHRs, scheduling workflows, billing structures, and care teams.
Remission Medical established its Advisory Consultant Program to bring additional healthcare, operational, workforce, public health, and strategic perspectives to that work as the company continues to grow.
Mussa is Principal and Founder of Inclu Social and has spent more than two decades working with healthcare organizations to improve quality, strengthen digital health initiatives, and advance equitable access to care. Her experience includes partnerships with federally qualified health centers, academic medical centers, regional health systems, and community healthcare organizations, where she has worked alongside executive leaders to develop strategies that improve care delivery and patient outcomes.
"Healthcare innovation has the greatest impact when it reaches the people who have historically faced the greatest barriers to care," said Mussa. "I'm excited to support Remission Medical's mission to expand access to specialty care through innovative, patient-centered models that improve outcomes while helping health systems better serve their communities."
As an Advisory Member, Mussa will provide strategic perspective and counsel in healthcare quality, digital health, public health, and equitable care delivery as Remission Medical continues to strengthen its health system partnerships and expand access to rheumatology care.
