Fourteen leaders in education, business, public service, and community engagement have been named to the Tallahassee State College Alumni & Friends Hall of Fame, the College's highest honor for alumni and supporters.
The 2025 Inductees are:
Dr. Debra Dabney Austin ('09)
Retired higher education leader and the first Black woman appointed Chancellor of the State University System of Florida, Dr. Austin served in leadership roles at TSC, FSU, and FAMU, and remains active in civic organizations and community leadership.
Christian Caban ('13)
Leon County Commissioner representing District 2, known for his focus on infrastructure, youth services, and community engagement, Caban brings both entrepreneurial and public service experience to his role.
Brittany Christie ('09)
A former TSC student-athlete and founder of Christie's Sports and Philanthropy Strategy Group, she serves as Community Relations Manager at the Leon County Sheriff's Office and has been recognized as one of Tallahassee's "Top 40 Under 40."
KeyannaShabar Kakia Clack ('05)
A Corrections professional with more than 25 years of experience, including service as a Warden with the Florida Department of Corrections, Clack has also taught criminal justice courses at TSC and is active in professional and community organizations.
Dr. Thomas Alan Cox ('83)
Educator and former Assistant Superintendent for Leon County Schools, as well as founder of Alan Cox Aquatics, which has trained thousands of lifeguards and swim instructors across North Florida.
Chris Edwards ('94)
Tallahassee Market President for MidSouth Bank and Board President of the TSC Foundation, Edwards is a former TSC baseball player. He also serves on numerous nonprofit boards.
Mark Fletcher ('79)
Managing Principal at Lanigan & Associates, specializing in tax and estate planning. A Certified Public Accountant, he has been a community leader in Quincy and Tallahassee for decades.
Katy Jo Harrison ('13)
Elementary school teacher in Liberty County, named District Teacher of the Year in 2025 and a finalist for Florida Teacher of the Year, recognized for her commitment to early education and literacy.
Rhonda Quigg Harvey ('71)
Pharmacist and business owner who operated Panacea and Wakulla Pharmacies for more than 30 years. Harvey co-owns several local businesses and is a longtime civic leader and supporter of TSC.
Jonathan Kilpatrick
Technology leader and CEO of Trulight LLC, former CIO for the City of Tallahassee, and Lieutenant Colonel in the Florida Air National Guard. He also serves as pastor of St. Marks Baptist Church.
James Light ('08)
Founder of Precision Building & Renovating and co-founder of Gulf Coast Additive Manufacturing & Design, which built Florida's first permitted 3D-printed home. Known for his innovative approach and community service.
Dr. Matthew Rasmussen
Board-certified periodontist and Diplomate of the American Board of Periodontology, Dr. Rasmussen teaches in the TSC dental program and volunteers weekly at the Kearney Center to provide dental care to those in need.
Brannon Snead ('00)
Former Major with the Florida Highway Patrol and current General Manager of Peter Boulware Toyota, his career spans public safety, municipal leadership, and business management.
Kevin Vaughn
North Florida business leader and co-founder of Rogers, Gunter, Vaughn Insurance. A former TSC trustee, he continues to support the College through its Foundation and other civic roles.
2025 Soaring Eagle Award recipients are:
Skylar Nobles ('17)
Entrepreneur and PR professional Sky Nobles has launched several women-owned businesses and serves as PR Manager at True Story PR. She was named to 850 Business Magazine's "30 Under 30."
Christopher Peacock ('13)
A cybersecurity expert and Distinguished Engineer at Verizon, he is recognized internationally for his work on threat detection frameworks such as MITRE ATT&CK. He frequently presents at leading security conferences.
The Alumni & Friends Hall of Fame was established to recognize alumni and friends of Tallahassee State College for their professional accomplishments, service to the community, and support of the College. Each year, nominations are sought from the community as a whole. There are currently more than 32,000 members of the TSC Alumni & Friends Association and more than 175 members of the Alumni & Friends Hall of Fame.
