Uptown Flats Opens 34 Affordable Homes to People with Disabilities & Exiting Homelessness in Pittsburgh, PA

October 02, 2026

Surviving is not the same as thriving, especially for people with disabilities and exiting homelessness. In Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, Uptown Flats is a new foundation for these often overlooked populations. Intentionally developed by our partners at ACTION-Housing, Inc. in collaboration with Bethlehem Haven, 34 new, affordable homes are bringing stability and comfort to residents of the Uptown neighborhood.

Beyond the affordability - 4 units restricted at 20% of the area median income (AMI) and 30 units at 50% AMI) - Uptown Flats features an exterior elevated courtyard which offers private, peaceful, green outdoor space in the middle of a dense urban neighborhood to support residents' mental health and healing.

Congratulations to our partners on creating safe, stable, and affordable housing to help empower every individual and family to reach their full potential!
