Chinese Ambassador to Nigeria Yu Dunhai Meets with Governor of Bauchi State

On October 17, 2025, Chinese Ambassador to Nigeria Yu Dunhai met with Governor Bala Mohammed of Bauchi State.

Ambassador Yu stated that President Tinubu's successful state visit to China last year injected strong momentum into the development of China-Nigeria relations. Over the past year, political mutual trust between the two countries has continued to deepen, and practical cooperation in key areas such as infrastructure development, mining, agriculture, and technological innovation has yielded fruitful results. He emphasized that China is willing to take this opportunity to further strengthen exchanges and cooperation with Bauchi State and other local governments across Nigeria, expand the scope and depth of sub-national collaboration, and inject sustained vitality and new momentum into the China-Nigeria comprehensive strategic partnership.

Governor Mohammed highly commended the achievements of Nigeria-China cooperation and expressed his appreciation for the contributions of Chinese enterprises to the economic and social development of Bauchi State. He stated that Bauchi will continue to support Chinese companies investing and operating in the state and is willing to further strengthen cooperation in capacity building, infrastructure development, and mineral resource exploitation to enhance local development and achieve mutual benefit and win-win outcomes.
