Santa Ana Public Works makes it easier to get questions answered

The City of Santa Ana is helping residents and businesses more easily connect with Public Works, whether they have a question, need guidance, or are looking for information about a Public Works project, service, requirement, or request.

Public Works maintains many of the services and systems residents use every day, including streets, sidewalks, traffic signals, streetlights, trees, storm drains, water and sewer infrastructure, trash and recycling coordination, construction projects, and maintenance in the public right of way.

To make assistance easier to navigate, the City has designated one main number to call: 714-647-3380. Staff are available to answer questions, offer direction or connect residents with the right Public Works team.

"Public Works is part of daily life in every Santa Ana neighborhood, from the streets and sidewalks people use to the trees, lights, drainage systems, and infrastructure that support the community," said Rudy Rosas, Acting Executive Director of the Santa Ana Public Works Agency. "By designating 714-647-3380 as a main number for Public Works questions and assistance, we are making it easier for residents to reach us when they need information or guidance."

Callers may use 714-647-3380 when they have a question about a Public Works service, project, or notice; are unsure who is responsible for a maintenance issue; or need guidance on a Public Works request or requirement, such as requests related to stop signs, speed humps, traffic safety, counter appointments, Public Works permits, reviews, construction standards, or submittals.

Rosas emphasized that the mySantaAna app and online form remain important tools for reporting something at a specific location that City crews may need to inspect, repair, clean up or address.

Residents should use these tools to report concerns such as graffiti, illegal dumping, potholes, sidewalk damage, streetlight outages, tree issues, weeds, rubbish or other maintenance needs. Both tools allow residents to include details about the location and photos so crews can review and respond.

The mySantaAna app is available through the Apple App Store and Google Play. Residents can also report issues online through the City's website.
