Families USA Submits Comment Letter on Notice of Benefit and Payment Parameters (NBPP) Proposed Rule

Families USA submitted comments on the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) 2027 Notice of Benefit and Payment Parameters (NBPP) proposed rule. Many of the policies proposed in the 2027 NBPP, individually and taken together, would substantially undermine coverage and the overall individual insurance marketplaces by weakening consumer protections, increasing plan design flexibility without adequate safeguards, and shifting oversight responsibilities away from federal standards. Therefore, Families USA urges CMS to reconsider, withdraw, or substantially revise several proposed provisions.
