Governor Kathy Hochul today marked the 75th anniversary of Moog Inc. (NYSE: MOG.A and MOG.B), showcasing decades of cutting-edge innovation in the fields of aerospace, defense, industrial automation, and medical technology. From supplying vital flight control and critical motion control systems on virtually every commercial aircraft platform, to steering historic and future space exploration missions like NASA's Artemis campaign, Moog enters its next era with more than 14,000 global employees dedicated to sustainable innovation and advanced engineering excellence. As a global designer, manufacturer, and integrator of high-performance motion control systems and components, Moog's 75th anniversary is not just a celebration of a historic past, but a testament to a future built on New York innovation. Good morning, everyone. When I was watching the video, I was looking at the locations you have, your global presence, which is quite extraordinary, because we like to think of you as just ours. But to see all the different countries represented, I had one thought, which was during the World Cup matches, there had to be a lot of conflict internally about what team we're rooting for, having been to a number of them, particularly in New York City. But I just want to make sure that now that's over, and it's football season, all of your global friends and allies and compatriots understand there's only one football team to root for, right? Just want to make sure that's embedded in the employee handbook. No matter where you live, it is the Buffalo Bills. Go Bills, everybody. Go Bills.

Also, Pat, I've so enjoyed our relationship. I'm also noting as only one of three Irish Governors in our state's history, what's with picking only Irish leaders of Moog? I'm just intrigued by this, and I love it. You get a chance to come to the Governor's residence. We celebrate St. Patrick's Day, the month of St. Patrick's, and I, where I met you the first time, but I've long known and respected this company. And Bob Brady, where's Bob? Bob, good to see you again. Bob gave me my first tour back when I was a brand-new member of Congress.

In 2011, I was on the House Armed Services Committee, and we came through here, and I had such an appreciation, was able to go back to Washington and brag about this company that is leading the effort to protect the homeland and to protect all of us, giving the nation the most finest parts and supplying some of the greatest innovations to protect America. So I wanted to thank him personally, and also I got to know him when I was at M&T Bank and the M&T board. But also, John Scannell and I also got more tours as time went on. Where's John? John. John, good to see you again. Good to see you.

Also, we saw the images of Bill Moog. It's how special it is to have his daughter, Nancy, here. Thank you for sharing. Just so you know, we still feel all these years later that the Moog family story is the Western New York story. Your legacy, your father's dedication and sacrifice while you're raising his family is part of a story that we, we treasure and we're so proud of. Let's give another round of applause to Nancy Moog Aubrecht.

Members of Congress you'll hear from - our Congressman Tim Kennedy, Congressmember Nick Langworthy and Claudia Tenney, all representing our Western New York area. We want to thank you for your presence here today. Just a few reflections, because I know that Pat knows I'm Irish and I can tell stories for a long time, and he put the emphasis on brief, I heard that. Brief remarks, which are almost impossible, but I'll try. But it's such a powerful story because when you grow up in Western New York, just down the road in Hamburg, I will tell you this: All the kids who got the cool jobs were working at Moog. This was the place that people knew was kind of futuristic. They weren't quite sure what happened in here, but it was a very cool place to work. And so, the synergy that I see between the University of Buffalo, which we've long supported, the engineers that work here, but also the people working with their hands and their minds, creating something special. It builds on the legacy of what we cherish here in Western New York, which is using hardworking men and women with that long legacy of support for their families and community, but also what they do when they come to their jobs.

My Irish immigrant grandparents found their start here working at the steel plant. Countless others worked at the Ford plant, the GM plant, and those who were lucky got the jobs right here. So this has long been a story of accomplishment. But I cannot tell you the pride we all felt when you're watching Artemis, for example, and Pat was telling me that when he'd walk into coffee shops, people said, "I didn't know Moog was involved in that extraordinary effort." And I think you should all be proud. Those of you who work here, we're watching from the outside. This is a very big deal. And your company is just changing the world, and you saw that in the video, but it's really happening. And I just think, as a Western New Yorker, this is something that I just cannot tell you how proud I am as well.

And I just want us to give a couple more reflections. But we're doing so much here. 75 years here. 75 years, but not just marking it with a big cake, but marking it with a $145 million investment in the future is a real statement of your confidence in Western New York. And I want other companies to see and feel that when they're thinking about where to go, where should we plant our flag, make our future. What Moog has done is relied on this community for their success, delivered for this community. This community has delivered for you, but I want other companies to understand this. And this is just getting started, my friends. I hope that you also know that just down the road, we are building Micron, building microchip semiconductor memory chips that are going to power the future of artificial intelligence for the nation and the world. The largest private sector investment in American history is happening in our state just a couple hours away.

This is creating an ecosystem of accomplishment, success, advanced manufacturing, but also leading our state into the future, building on the legacy of these 75 years and welcoming new companies that understand that we have something really special here, and much of it comes down to our workforce. The academic institutions we have that give them the degrees they need, the experience, workforce development training, Northland - you mentioned in the video, yes how incredible that is. But I hope you have the same belief that our best days truly do lie ahead. And Moog has always been at the center of this.

And so, as I wish you the very best for the next 75 years, and know that these thousands of jobs mean something to me, who grew up in a time when the jobs were leaving Western New York. You never gave up on us. You never gave up when other companies were turning out the lights and people said, "We're going elsewhere to build our families." I stayed, you stayed, and because of that, this region is on fire. And Moog is always going to be a central part of that electrifying story of great success, innovation and leading into the future right here in Western New York. Thank you very much.
