School is back in session for most, and fall is just around the corner. To kick off the school year, the Idaho Commission for Libraries is conducting a comprehensive 12-month campaign to highlight the diverse array of databases available at no cost to all Idahoans through LiLI.org. But we can't do it alone - we need the help of school and public library staff to make this campaign a success!
Our team has developed twelve themed promotional flyers, each spotlighting a different database category and its associated resources. One flyer and resource will be highlighted each month through flyers, social media posts, virtual training, and posts like this one.
Every public library and branch, as well as most Idaho high schools, will receive a packet with a campaign overview and 12 printed flyers - plus a vintage LiLI label - to display throughout the year in their library. Your partnership is essential to the success of this campaign. We invite you to:
For September, the theme is Career Skills, and the featured databases are LearningExpress Career Prep and Popular Software Skills Center.
In addition to the printed flyers you received, you can download the PDF versions of the flyers and associated social media content on the LiLI Databases page under "Promoting LiLI."
Although we don't have a live webinar this month, you can watch the recording of LearningExpress Library's Adult Core Skills from February of this year. This webinar recording highlights the LearningExpress centers that are most relevant to adults, including the Career Prep and Popular Software Skills Centers.
If you're looking for additional ways to promote LearningExpress, you can order free LearningExpress Career & Computer bookmarks or LearningExpress Posters from the ICfL Market, explore the LearningExpress Promotion Kit on EBSCO Connect, or host a hands-on training session at your library.
