Street and Sidewalk Closure - South Mall Avenue and East 11th Street

Beginning on Wednesday, September 23, 2026, at 8:30 a.m., South Mall Avenue will be closed to through traffic between East 10th Street and East 11th Street. Access to the parking ramp will be maintained from 10th Street. The north and sidewalk along 11th Street will also be closed between South Phillips Avenue and South First Avenue.

Dave's Construction will be performing work to the street and sidewalk in this area.

The work is expected to be completed and traffic control removed by the end of the day on September 25, 2026.

Drivers are urged to use caution and reduced speeds while travelling near the construction area and may want to consider alternate routes.

Alley Closure - Carnegie Town Hall

Beginning on Wednesday September 23, 2026, the alley south of Carnegie Town Hall, located between 10th Street, 11th Street, Dakota Avenue, and Main Avenue will be closed at the Dakota Avenue entrance to allow crews to perform concrete repairs. Alley access from Main Avenue will remain open during construction. Pedestrians will be detoured around the work zone.

Weather permitting, this work is expected to be completed within two weeks.

467th Avenue Closure

Beginning on Wednesday, September 23, 2026, 467th Avenue will be closed from SD Highway 42 (12th Street) to 266th Street (22nd Street) to allow crews to install water main. Traffic should use 466th Avenue as an alternate route.

This work is anticipated to be complete in about one week.
