Marcus & Millichap Arranges Sale of Multifamily Property in Union City, New Jersey

UNION CITY, N.J., Oct. 28, 2026 - Marcus & Millichap (NYSE: MMI), a leading commercial real estate brokerage firm specializing in investment sales, financing, research and advisory services, announced today the sale of Civic Towers, a 13-unit multifamily property in Union City, New Jersey. The asset sold for $2.65 million.
"Our marketing process delivered a record-setting price per unit for a rent-controlled building in Union City while securing terms that prioritized certainty of execution, including completion of due diligence during attorney review, a hard deposit at contract signing and no financing contingency," said Jonathan Zamora, senior director investments in Marcus & Millichap's New Jersey Office. "The sale marks the third transaction for which our team has been retained to represent the property's ownership."
Zamora exclusively marketed the property on behalf of the seller, Isaiah Thompson.
Located at 1306 New York Ave., Civic Towers is a 10,500-square-foot building on a 0.10-acre lot. The 13-unit mix includes nine one-bedroom and four two-bedroom apartments. The property was built in 2003 and features a full-building sprinkler system and a gated parking lot.
Civic Towers is close to the Union City-Hoboken border, near public transit, restaurants and retailers.
