The Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), in collaboration with the Information Systems Audit and Control Association - Bangkok Chapter (ISACA Bangkok Chapter), co-hosted a workshop for the second line of defense personnel in the compliance and risk management functions under the "GRE-2AT Forum for Capital Market 2026." The forum has been organized for the second consecutive year. The opening remarks were delivered by Mr. Jesada Paramabhronpilad, Director of the Information Technology Audit and Cyber Risk Supervision Department, SEC. The workshop was attended by 566 participants from 160 organizations, comprising securities companies, asset management companies, investment unit brokerage firms, investment advisory firms, derivatives business operators, digital asset business operators, crowdfunding service providers, digital token offering system providers (ICO portals), and the Stock Exchange of Thailand. The event was held via Microsoft Teams Webinar on Monday, 23 March 2026.
The workshop was conducted under the topic "AI Governance & Quantum NIST PQC in Action (for the 2nd Line)" with Dr. Prinya Hom-Anek, President of ISACA Bangkok Chapter, serving as the keynote speaker. He shared knowledge and practical experience on AI governance frameworks, AI risk assessment, the design of appropriate control frameworks, as well as the critical role of second line of defense personnel in assessing risks related to Post-Quantum Cryptography (PQC) in preparation for the upcoming era of quantum computing.
In addition, the SEC plans to organize a workshop on the same topic for first line of defense personnel on 13 May 2026, with the objective of enhancing overall organizational risk management capabilities.
