Honda Power Sports & Products kicked off 2026 at World of Concrete last week, showcasing a diverse portfolio of power solutions and advancements designed to support the commercial construction industry. At the company'sexhibit, indoor booth #C4852, the Honda team highlighted top-performing products, versatile power technologies and electrified solutions in development-all designed to support evolving market needs and make high-demand jobs easier.
During WOC, Honda underscored the company's long-term commitment to scalable electrification and modular power solutions for the commercial equipment industry, while previewing what's coming next for the Honda eGX, the company's first advanced electric power unit. The Honda display included the battery evolution for the eGX2.0H, highlighted by a 60 percent higher-capacity battery designed to support longer continuous operation and increased application flexibility. Honda experts also detailed expansion plans for the eGX lineup, including eGX4.0 and eGX6.0 model concepts designed to address higher output classes for commercial and construction applications. Together, the Honda eGX modular units and next-generation product concepts on display illustrated the company's focus on developing higher-capacity, battery-powered solutions that reduce noise and emissions, extend operating times for increased productivity, and remain easy for users to handle.
Another integral element of Honda's vision for electrified construction power was the presentation of the concept Mobile Power Packe:, a swappable battery system designed to be shared across OEM customer products. Featuring advanced cell technology, the Mobile Power Pack e: delivers higher output with reduced noise, zero exhaust emissions, lower installed battery weight and near-zero downtime, supporting continuous operation in both indoor and outdoor jobsite environments. A complete Honda electrification solution, fitted to a Multiquip Whiteman Ride-on Trowel was displayed at the show, demonstrating how Honda electrified power units can support high-demand construction applications while also improving equipment balance, handling and overall usability.
Further complementing the company's focus at WOC and the diversification of its power products portfolio, the all-new Honda iGX430 gas-powered engine was featured, illustrating the expansion of the company's legendary GX Series. Taking powerful intelligence to a new level, this model offers commercial construction customers improved performance, value, and versatility in a compact package. Equipped with smart fuel injection (FI) technology and an integrated electronic self-tuning regulator (STR) governor, the horizontal-shaft iGX430 provides drive-by-wire remote-control capability to manage key aspects of engine operation. The all-new model is designed to adapt to fluctuating power demands of commercial applications with a controller area network (CAN) that integrates with equipment for seamless operation-also providing enhanced ease of use, productivity and serviceability for OEM manufacturers and contractors.
"At 2026 World of Concrete, the Honda showcase underscored our company's focus on versatility and evolution of product technology, especially for the commercial markets. In anticipating ever-changing market needs, we are advancing a range of future-ready, gas engine and battery-powered units and systems," said Mark Kohls, vice president of Honda Power Sports & Products, American Honda Motor Co., Inc. "Whether the call is for gas, electrification or scalability, Honda delivers reliable, high-performance products that provide reliable power with reduced emissions and noise for a wide range of applications and operating conditions for our OEM customers and their end users."
Visitors to the Honda booth at the World of Concrete venue also explored a range of rugged, fuel-efficient and versatile gas-powered Honda power products, including GX Series engines, generators, and pumps, along with the Honda power behind OEM products on display from Allen, Diteq, Gorilla Products, MiTM, Minnich, and Wacker Neuson. A Honda Pioneer 700 Side-by-Side 4 x 4 Utility vehicle, newly designed with expanded storage and built to elevate every job and every adventure, also was part of the company's showcase.
