Bench Bar Liaison Committee Conversation on Debt's Grip and the Consumer Bankruptcy Project

The entire bankruptcy community is invited to a conversation with Professor Robert Lawless, the Max L. Rowe Professor of Law and Co-Director, Illinois Program on Law, Behavior and Social Science. Professor Lawless is one of the authors of Debt's Grip. Professor Lawless and Judges Jacqueline Cox and Deborah Thorne and attorney, David Welch will discuss the impact of the book, the problems of financial precocity and its impact on consumer insolvency. Additional time will be devoted to the perspective of practical pathways and changes within the bankruptcy system.
