RUBY STREET BRIDGE HAS BEEN REOPENED, CASS STREET BRIDGE SCHEDULED TO CLOSE SEPT. 26Post Date:09/24/2025 4:08 PM For Immediate Release Contact September 24, 2025 City of Joliet: 815-724-4000 RUBY STREET BRIDGE HAS BEEN REOPENED, CASS STREET BRIDGE SCHEDULED TO CLOSE SEPT. 26 Joliet, IL - Ruby Street (Illinois 53) Bridge over the Des Plaines River has been reopened. The Cass Street (U.S. 30) bridge is scheduled to close, weather permitting, Friday, Sept. 26 at 7:00 AM for a rehabilitation project, anticipated to be completed in late 2026.
