More Than 2,000 Job Seekers Attend Rep. Wilson’s Federal Job Fair

MIAMI GARDENS, FL - Today, Congresswoman Frederica S. Wilson (FL-24), in partnership with Miami-Dade County Commissioner Oliver G. Gilbert, III, Miami Dade College, CareerSource South Florida, and the 5000 Role Models of Excellence Project, welcomed more than 2,000 job seekers and 60 vendors to a Federal Job Fair at Miami Dade College.

The extraordinary turnout demonstrated both the urgent need for employment opportunities and the determination of South Floridians to build brighter, more secure futures. Attendees connected directly with employers representing a wide range of industries and sectors, explored full-time and part-time positions, and accessed on-site career and professional development resources.

"JOBS! JOBS! JOBS! That has always been my mantra because a good job is about far more than a paycheck. It is about dignity, independence, stability, and the ability to provide for your family," said Congresswoman Frederica S. Wilson (FL-24). "Today, more than 2,000 people walked through these doors ready to work, grow, and build a brighter future. That incredible turnout sends a powerful message: South Florida is ready for opportunity."

The Federal Job Fair was held from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Miami Dade College's North Campus. The event reflected Congresswoman Wilson's longstanding commitment to job creation, workforce development, economic opportunity, and empowering South Florida's working families.
