Honoring the Dream: TLU Joins the Community in Observing MLK Day 2026
On Monday, January 19, Texas Lutheran University will join the community in observing Martin Luther King Jr. Day. University offices and classrooms will be closed for the holiday, so that students, faculty, and staff can join in the celebration and take time to reflect on and honor the many contributions of Dr. King.
TLU is happy to once again partner with the community for the symbolic MLK March, which begins outside the university's Schuech Fine Arts Center. Participants will gather at 9:45 a.m. and march together down Court Street to Central Park for a short program.
