The Connecticut Department of Transportation (CTDOT) is announcing a traffic shift to the right on Route 15 northbound onto the newly constructed portion of the Route 15 northbound Bridge over I-91, south of East Main Street, during Stage two construction (the left side) of the bridge.
The shift will continue northward and direct traffic to Route 15 northbound, I-691 westbound, I-91 northbound, and Route 66 eastbound will begin on Wednesday, June 10, 2026. Signs will be posted, and lanes will be marked with the route-identifying shields to help guide motorists into the proper lanes and keep them on their desired routes.
CTDOT Project No. 0079-0246 was awarded to O&G Industries at a cost of $185,000,000 on January 29, 2024, and is scheduled to be completed November 30, 2028. This project is administered by the Bureau of Engineering and Construction, Office of Construction, District 1 in Rocky Hill.

Traffic will be shifted onto the newly constructed portion of the Route 15 northbound bridge over I-91 and will continue northward to the Exit 65A and Exit 65B area. Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in this area.
Motorists should be aware that modifications to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions.
