Faculty, Staff, Students Receive UW College of Business Awards at 75th Annual Recognition Day

The University of Wyoming College of Business celebrated faculty, staff and student excellence during its 75th annual College of Business Recognition Day Friday, April 24.

The event featured a series of activities throughout the day, including gourmet coffee, a de-stress event featuring miniature goats and recognition ceremonies honoring scholarship recipients and donors to the College of Business. The expanded format was designed to bring together students, faculty, staff, alumni and supporters of the college. The 75th Recognition Day concluded with dinner in the Marian H. Rochelle Gateway Center.

Faculty teaching awards, listed by name and department, were:

-- Committed Educator Award: Nontenure-track faculty member, Maria Jenks, Department of Marketing and Management.

-- Excellence in Teaching Award: Junior faculty member Tucker Davis, Department of Accounting and Finance.

-- Distinguished Teaching Award: Senior faculty member Elizabeth Minton, Department of Management and Marketing.

-- Impact Award: Tyler Kjorstad, Department of Economics.

-- MBA Teaching Excellence Award: Nick Prince, Department of Marketing and Management.
