WWU Political Science Professor Bidisha Biswas has been named a CFR Education Ambassador and will spend the next eight months engaged in professional development to expand students' interest and knowledge of global affairs.

CFR Education is the educational arm of the Council on Foreign Relations, a nonpartisan think tank devoted to promoting informed public discussion on issues facing the U.S. and the world.

"In a fast-changing global landscape, I look forward to working with CFR to better prepare our students to understand our world a little better," Biswas said.

In addition to her work in Political Science, Biswas is also the WWU Faculty Legislative Representative. She teaches courses on international relations, American foreign policy, refugee flows and conflict processes.
