Notice of Utility Tariff Filing
The REGULATORY COMMISSION OF ALASKA (Commission) gives notice that Chugach Electric Association, Inc. (Chugach) filed TA591-8, its annual update to the generation and transmission (G&T) line loss factor based on 2025 operating results. The G&T line loss factor is used for the allocation of system costs between G&T and distribution for cost of service calculations, cost of power adjustment surcharges, and losses applied to transmission wheeling transactions. Based on 2025 operating results, Chugach proposes a G&T line loss factor of 2.168 percent measured at generation. By comparison, the 2024 G&T line loss factor measured at generation was 1.887 percent, and the 2023 factor was 1.615 percent.
