SW 5th Place Curb Installation

The City of Fort Lauderdale is working to improve traffic safety by installing a new curb along SW 5th Place between SW 18th Avenue and SW 19th Terrace in the Riverside Park neighborhood. This improvement will help keep the shoulder clear, improve visibility, and make the roadway safer for everyone.

All work will take place on the north shoulder of SW 5th Place, so the impact on the neighborhood will be minimal.

Construction will begin on Tuesday, September 23, 2025, and is expected to be completed by the end of that week. Work will take place on weekdays, between 8 a.m. and 6 p.m. This schedule is subject to change due to weather or other unforeseen conditions.

Traffic impacts:

There will be no traffic impact on the neighborhood.

We appreciate your patience and cooperation as we work to enhance public safety in the area.
