Upcoming Traffic Impacts: July 18–19, 2026
The City of Cambridge would like to notify residents, businesses, and visitors about temporary street closures for two special events taking place this weekend.
Please plan ahead, allow extra travel time, and follow posted detour signs.
Brainchild Block Party

- Norfolk Street between Bishop Allen Drive and Massachusetts Avenue
Closure Time
The Brainchild Block Party is a free community event in Central Square featuring live music, local artists, food vendors, and activities.

- First Street between Cambridge Street and Hurley Street

The following intersections will also be closed to through traffic:
- First Street at Otis Street
- First Street at Thorndike Street
- First Street at Spring Street
