NEW YORK - Wednesday, August 19, 2026 - Napster today launched AI agent support for call centers, moving beyond the browser. These agents operate directly on existing phone infrastructure in any language, providing 24/7 support while ensuring a seamless escalation path to human staff. This new capability, Session Initiation Protocol (SIP) support forNapster API, is available now natively on Microsoft Azure, integrates with Microsoft Foundry, and is transactable through theMicrosoft Marketplace.
By natively integrating directly into the Azure Portal and Microsoft Foundry, Napster reduces the friction of enterprise AI deployment. Azure customers can now activate, build, and deploy omni-channel agents entirely within their existing Microsoft environment, without the overhead of standing up new, fragmented infrastructure.
Now, with SIP support, organizations have a way to put AI agents on the phone line itself rather than confining them to the browser. Agents can now take calls through the same SIP infrastructure a business already operates, converse in any language, and escalate to a human staff member the moment a caller needs one. For the global base of SIP-based call centers, it opens a path to multimodal, agentic support at a scale that human-only teams cannot staff around the clock.
"Microsoft's support has been integral to Napster's transformation into an AI company, and our status as one of the only Azure Native end-to-end AI agent platforms is validation of the work we've put toward democratizing access to AI," said John Acunto, CEO of Napster. "Napster API runs natively inside Azure, right beside its own tools, and now it can answer the call in any language, with a person always one step away. No other company can say that."
Napster API is fully transactable through the Microsoft Marketplace, enabling customers to apply their existing Microsoft Azure Consumption Commitment toward their purchase. As Napster also supports Resale Enabled Offer, customers can also choose to procure the API through their existing Microsoft partners rather than purchasing directly from Napster. This provides maximum commercial flexibility allowing organizations to leverage their Azure investment while maintaining established procurement relationships and enables partners to package, resell, and deliver Napster API as part of their own customer solutions.
"As a native, transactable offering in the Microsoft Marketplace, Napster API gives Microsoft Azure customers a straightforward way to find, buy, and deploy agentic AI through the tools and commercial terms they already use. Its integration with Microsoft Foundry helps organizations move from building agents to operationalizing them at scale," said Rick Lievano, WW CTO Telco & Media, Microsoft.
Napster's rollout of SIP capabilities for Napster API follows the launch of its NV2 video AI model. Napster API is available now in the Microsoft Marketplace, Azure Portal and at napster.com/developer.
